Delightfully Bitter

Raivont set his jaw at Syn's words, glaring up at her as if saying that he was going to eat her first born child. However, at Eldarion's words, he took a deep breath through his nose and made himself calm down. Iry, on the other hand, was growling at the woman, sensing his master's extreme dislike and anger towards her.
The truth was that that mortal girl he'd 'shacked up' with had died years ago of old age, while Raivont himself had remained his young-looking self. It did nothing but anger the Nymandine Elf, making him that much more bitter. And now, years later after he'd finally gotten over it, another face from his past had shown up, and this was one that he had never wanted to see again in the first place..

Syn gave a slight nod of the head to Eldarion, something still dangerous in those crimson eyes of hers. When she released Raivont's chair, she almost expected it to fall backwards, but to no avail. She had no need for a chair, deciding to sit right on the edge of the table, ever the pretty and elegant flower, yet still a wild and untamed tiger with a taste for flesh.
"And who might you gentlemen be?" she asked. She was a quick study with a clever wit and a sharp tongue when it came down to it, but she also knew how to be semi-civil when she wanted to be. And right now, she was gathering information for later use, should she need it. That pup was annoying, however, growling at her as if she'd killed his mother. Chances were she probably had, but that would make little difference.
"Raivont, dear, please keep your pup quiet," she said with that danger about her being aimed at her 'dear old friend' and his dog. "I would hate for him to bark himself sore." Or dead.

Jaiden tried not to laugh. The kid was sincere, and he really did appreciate that, but it just caught him off guard was all. He didn't think that people like this existed anymore, except for maybe the farming communities scattered over Edarin... and they were probably half this naive. It was cute, but amusing. "That's sweet of you to say. Don't you get tired of staying in all the time, though? I mean... I could understand if you really loved this job, but the way you were navigating the patrons earlier, it seems like you go to some trouble to play keep-away. That's a little strange."

Aubrey flushed deeply, and tried to pretend that he wasn't, which was probably as adorable as the flush in the first place. Had he really been that obvious? It was embarrassing in the first place, working where many people were, but it was even moreso when someone could tell that he didn't want to be touched.
"W-well.. uhm.." he stirred his soup in embarrassment. "I mean.. I-it's not that strange.. I just.. I don't care for.. p-people touching me.." Yeah, he felt like a silly little child. But, if you thought about it, he still was a child. He just.. felt like he should be more mature..
