Name: Aeryn Sitara
Age: 19
Race: Human
Class: Assassin
Physical Description: Aeryn was quite the gorgeous creature, above average in height and proud of his athletic build. Mis-matched eyes were set into an attractive visage, framed with high cheekbones and androgynous features. One was a vibrant blue, the other red; a rather unfortunate side effect that he wasn't warned about during use of a particular disguise aid. Luckily, his often-wild dirty-blond locks usually covered this mistake, and that was definitely for the best. In his line of work, something so easily indentifiable was a liability. His left ear dons a pair of simple silver hoops, and tattoos cover a fair amount of him. While he prefers to dress light when not pursuing a target, he usually covers up his upper-torso and hands, which bear the ink of many different sects and secret clans. If nothing else, they're fine testaments to a strong dedication to his work. While on the hunt, he can sometimes be found (with some effort and good eyesight) in the shadows, donning heavy black leather and a hood to cover his golden mane. Fancying himself as a master of disguise, however, he could be in any number of places without anyone being the wiser.
Weapons, Armor and other Items:
- Standard dagger, strictly for emergencies.
- Basic leather armor.
- Traveling gear: Dried rations (1 lb.), bedroll, lantern (with oil), blanket, compass, flint and steel, and wineskin.
- Miscellany: Soap, hair brush, one package of writing parchment, ink, quill, sewing needle, and black thread.
- Disguise kit (containing various make-up effects and such).
- Ka pouch and 586 Ka.
History: He'd never forget that day. Aeryn relished it, in fact, because it was the first moment that he saw his path so clearly laid out for him. Guards were prowling the streets, rousing every single dwelling in the street on which he lived. He watched them approach through the window with wide eyes (they were both blue back then), and cowered as they questioned his parents. Some rather valuable things had gone missing from the market down the street, things which the young boy now had hidden in his pillow-case. The blame was shared with a girl across the street, and they discussed their story ahead of time. Neither of them saw anything, of course... or at least that's how it was supposed to go. A mention of a reward changed all that. Thus began the illustrious career of the thief that betrayed other thieves; the assassin that hunted his own kind. There were worse things to do for a living, he supposed. Hell, he actually enjoyed himself. There was a twisted, hypocritical sense of justice in burning those that had burned others, even if everyone involved was crooked. He just tried not to think too much about it.
Believe it or not, there was someone who wanted something to do with a person notorious for selling out all of his friends. A rather curious fence took young Aeryn beneath his wing in Blaire, who seemed content with trading his knowledge while living out his criminal fantasies through the boy. It was from this man that he also adapted his fighting style, one which he never stopped to question (even though a g'damn fence taught it to him, of all people) when he witnessed its effectiveness in apprehending marks. In his seventeenth year, he struck out on his own and accomplished an amazing amount in a short time period. Hunting those that hunted was quite the lucrative trade, and Aeryn had been all over Edarin because of it, dealing out death for the highest bidders and continuing bloody cycles of revenge for a quick Ka. With his first-hand knowledge of the various hidden orders and criminal undergrounds around the world, Aeryn is never without work for long.
Location: Centered in Blaire, but his home there isn't much more than a safe-house. Still, it serves as a nice retreat into normal life, where he can spoil his cat and chat with the neighbors about the weather in relative protection from anyone that might have it out for him - in short, it's another life to live.
Other: Aeryn has a strange fondness for animals, and would never put one in harm's way if he can avoid it. It's because of this that his one pet and constant companion, a simple house cat named Alicia, stays behind in Blaire at his home where she is cared for by his neighbors. Ironically enough, the house is only a couple of blocks from where his parents still live, wondering what ever happened to their run-away son. That he'd be living so close to them under a different name was probably the last thing they imagined.
