Finally the long death cold grip of winter was over and it was now a time of birth and renewal. Oh how the young woman loved Spring. That is when her grandmother and her would play in the dirt and plant their seeds. While their garden was small it was plentiful. The soft Spring wind was like a gentle kiss. Ah yes this season had used to make her feel alive after a long slumber.
This season had been such a joyous time, but now that grannie is gone it is just like any other season.
It had been three days and Demetrie had still not returned. While she would never admit it she missed her phantom. It had been her first conversation in a month. So far her social life had involved people without a pulse and of the four legged kind.
While he could not talk back it seemed as though Sind understood her. He was not just a pet but a trusted companion. As always Addy was accompanied by her black large wolf walking in step with her.
Ah yes my trusted companion and confident. Addy thought as she gently scratched behind Sinds ears.
It was a rarety that she went into the bustling city of Meridan after all people like her were frowned upon. Her own family had cast her out . To be unloved and thought of a demon by your own family was harsh and it still cut her to the bone.
In truth she was lonely and wanted some social contact preferably someone living.

Avati plucked her strings, her eyes were closed, closed to the passing faces, to those who stayed, to those who whispered, children calling their mothers to come look.
She was an oddity, she realized that, and for what all those of, 'nobler, purer', birth could say, she, had better manners.
Plucking her strings, she sang softly, lower than her natural sophrano, an earthen tone that resonated beautifully.
"Walk blindly to the light and reach out for his hand Don't ask any questions and don't try to understand Open up your mind and then open up your heart And you will see that you and me aren't very far apart
'Cause I believe that love is the answer I believe that love will find the way." There was no magic to her words, just, herself, her music, and the empathy of a mortal heart.
She vocalized, skipping lines whereever she felt, moving back to the chorus with its repeating message.
" But I believe that love is the answer I believe that love will find the way I believe that love is the answer I believe that love will find the way"
Slowly, the deus womans' eyes drifted open as the last echos of her music faded, before yawning and rising to her feet, staying in one place was begining to become bothersome.
People.

It was someones singing that had broken her from her sorrowful reverie. Stoping for a moment her brown eyes scanned to see where the beautiful voice was comming from. While her voice was beautiful so were their meaning.
Never had she seen such a creature she was both human like and bird like. Though still she was beautiful.
It must be nice to have wings. To fly like a bird to come and go as you please. Addy thought to herself.
Adalaine was never skilled with singing nor dancing she was far to shy to indulge in such frivolty. Often she had felt caged into her own skin. It was far too dangerious to be free she was a psyon and was feared and hated. Though on this day her lonelyness had overcome her fear, besides it was obvious that this woman was a mixed blood. She too must know how it feels to be cast out and unwanted.
Standing before the sitting woman that was playing her mandroline listened to her with a smile. Once she was done her song and had opened her eyes. " You sing very beautifuly and are quit talented. I fear that I am not very skilled a pigs grunt sounds far better then I." Addy would say with chuckle.

"Ah but what a pig it would have to be, to be compared to one as lovely and gracious as thee." The words came easy, and a careless smile was shared. Her wings spasmed, like a small bird shaking off water drops, sitting down itself seemed bothersome sometimes.
Avati latched the strap she used to bind the instrument tightly to her back and out of the way, before looking to the woman again, she was usually much warmer than this, even when she knew what to expect, perhaps she was having more tired than she had first realized.
"Now why would such a gentle flower, compare herself to a pig, everyone has' got a talent or three. Though mine tends to run with words, as pretty as they can be, I'm still told to be one of the foulest mouthed young ladies most have ever seen. Now that is talent." Avati chuckled softly, "Have you come, perhaps to seek assistance, or melodious company?"

Pretty compliments was something Addy was not used too, espcially from strangers. The only person whom was kind to her was grandma. If her presence had not graced her life, Adalaine feared that she would be a lost soul.
The young woman's lack of human contact turned her cheeks a rosey red in shyness. " Ah.. well I fear that it is true." For a moment she was regretting making contact with this stranger. In truth social interaction made her feel uncomfertable. Though she did not want to turn out to be an old biddy with a herim of cats.
" You too are quiet lovely. I never seen such a mixing of genes." At the implication of her remark she blushed yet again and smiled in appology. " I did not mean that you are an oddity by no means. I mean it is good to be different and find the beauty in the inperfections." Immediately followed by her words she covered her mouth in shame. " Oh my.. Not that I mean that you are imperfect. Oh I am so sorry. Perhaps the cats are looking far better."
Deciding to change the tone of the conversation that is if the woman would let her. " So I take it you are a bard? Well you have a very beautiful voice. Are you staying in Meridan long?" She asked as she looked at the sitting woman.

Avati gave slow, long blinks, a temptress smile to make it appear more than it was. She flustered the woman, she, that was just... comical, her, Avatis' smile widened and she motioned to the ground before her.
"Sit, sit, and breath a moment.
Thank you for your compliments, they are far and few, so every one, even those thata fall from a drunkards crusted lips are coverted gems. And its true, you most likely won't find many or even another of my parentage for quiet a time. There are parts of me that are marks of beauty, for two very different races, and many merely see that they do not belong together, rather than the harmony they make together, or the new, wonderous song they create.
As for the length of my stay, I am not certain, I think I prefer the fields, and Cenatuars, the ocean, trees, and horses, to those who rather stare at me, then hear my music.
However, I suppose my stay, could always be.... extended."

The young woman's lonelyness sickened her. Like a new born starved for milk she was for friendship. With a shy smile she sat before the young pecular woman. " Thank you I did not much faviour a black eye today. I never was one for violence. Such a barberic thing. I mean it is our intellect that seperates us from the beasts." Addy said with a chuckle. " My name is Adalaine though if you wish you may call me Addy. I lived here mostly all my life with my grandma until recently." She said with a frown.
Standing up she dusted her self off. " Well if you like you may come to my home and I will cook us a meal. Oh and I have companion he is a wolf but very friendly unless you are a squrrel." She said with a chuckle.

"Adalaine..." Avati spoke the name slowly, an accent barely heard when she had sang, thickened, as the deus toyed with the name, drawing it out before smiling softly to herself, making the name sound sweet, and exotic.
"My, my, going to take me home already? Surely Grandmama, taught you to be weary?" Avati stood, the teasing in her voice obvious, and companionable.
"I have no worries of a wolf within stone walls, not to say the creature could not tear into me like a fox in a chick house, but, it must favor you in some manner to not be running rampant in the streets.
However, no need to cook, hm, let's say that my mothers' half wasn't big on cooking their meat, and I wasn't exactly equipted to be tearing apart flesh... Give me a peach and all sing pretty for you, promise." Avati winked, and wasn't sure what possessed her to tease the woman, her affections, or attentions seemed to always be mixed, but something prompted her, perhaps it was the fact she could actruly fluster another, or the fact that Addy babbled when she was flustered, or if she wanted to be vain, she liked the feeling she got, flustering, but thankfully, she wasn't the vain type.

" Oh Granny would not have minded. She wanted me to have friends, but I always prefered books and grannies company." It was her gift that had haulted her from seeking company. Even though she knew that she was not bad.. She sometimes felt bad like she was a anomility a freak. If not even her mother could love her then who could?
At the promise of a song her lips curved into a little smile. " Oh that will be purely lovely. I always did love music. Oh Sind would never hurt anyone that harboured me no harm. He is more of an over grown puppy really." Addy said with a chuckle as she lead her companion too through the streets and too the outskirts of the city.
Just as Addy had fortold a small cobble stoned cottage stood with trees and wild flowers growing freely. Though there was a patch of mannicured lawn where white lillys grew. " Of all of the flowers that Granny grew white lilly's were her favourite. I too take care of them to honour her memory."
Taking a key out of her pocket she unlocked the front portal. The cottage had a homey feel about it. It was not very fancy and the only furnitire that graced the living room was a green chair and a matching softa.
" Well make yourself comfertable..... " With a smile went into the kitchen. Sensing that Addy had company the big black wolf walked into the living room and sat before the standing guest. With a little groan he nudged her legs with his head and waited to be petted.

Avati watched as a large wolf, how Addy could describe the beast as a puppy, walked into the room, as Addy herself walked out. It, Sind, she assumed, sat before her and the pair regaurded each other for a moment before the charcol beast groan and nudged her legs.
It was such an unexspected move, and while it was unexspected, she was also just that light, that she was almost knocked back at the pressing weight. Kneeling, Avati buryied her fingers in the ruff of the Sinds' fur on either side of the wolfs' head, rubbed, ruffled, and petted. Settling on the fact that if the creature wanted to gut her, now was the time, and the most she got was a wet, canine brush of tongue.
The deus stood, unbalanced, by the encounter and simply straightening upright she drifted in the way that Addy went, she spoke, her voice carrying, while still soft.
"Sind, is a lovely creature, when did he come to your side? Addy, dear, not that it makes any difference now, but, my name is Avati, by the way." the woman sounded amused once again as she came into the kitchen, her expression to match

When Avati joined her in to the kitchen she would find Addy cutting up a peach and some other fruits into a bowl. " Yes he is wonderful. One day I was walking with granny getting barries and we found him hung upside down. I think he was lure for the mother by some heartless hunter." Addy said with a frown.
Smiling she handed her guest her cut fruit in a bowl. " I did not ask because I did not know if you wanted me to know. After all everyone is intitled to some secrets. Though Avati is a pretty and unusal name."
Met by a wet nose her wolf Sind nudged her palm and looked at the door. Walking to the door she opened it and letted him out. Returning to the counter she took some bread and spread some strawberry perserves on it and took a bite. Once she was done chewing. " So do you plan on staying here long?"

"No idea."
Avati was amused by the bowl of sliced fruit, no one but her own grandmother went through such care, or simple held out berries, gotta take those with beaks in account too.
The woman smiled deliciously at the first taste of the sweet fruit as the taste exploded in her mouth, the deus looked as pleased and tickled as a cat on catnip laced cream.
The minstrel sighed happily looking to Addy a goofy smile tugged at her lips before being replaced, but a more common teasing grin. "Many thanks to you. I am not sure how long I shall linger in this city, for one thing, the city is for earth dwellers, the streets are to narrow with what nots for flight and landing. Most Pomira don't walk, at least great distance, most is the fact that their feet aren't designed for such, and the other, generations of little walking i suppose.
I grew with my mothers' side for most of my life, so that kind of went with it, I'm embassed to say while I lack the adaquate talons, walking outside of our home was a rarity, so i tire easily on my feet, not that i complain mind you. I'm working on that anyways. Walking more, running....what's the point of wearing boots, if I can't run in them?"
Chuckling at her question, the deus plucked another fruit, the same reaction as before before she continued on.
"I was kind of tricked, by prodding and pride by my older brother to go out and visit other towns and such, and gather some things, but honestly, I think he was trying to get me out the house so he could die in peace. But, can't have that happeing, so I will be leaving soon. Amazing if you look at it that he's held on so long, he's my older brother, and bytheir standards, he's wizen, we're roughly the same age but... yeah. What about you? Going to stay here ad keep your grandmothers house? or is there more keeping you here?"

Oh how the young woman longed for an adventure. Her world had consisted of the small cottage and granny and Sind. Now it seemed that her small world was growing rapidly and it was frightening. Addy could just imagine how much it would grow when Demitrious came back. While she did not fear him she did fear the purpose and the peril that he would ask of her.
No she was quit content with her world consisting of the small cottage it was safe and familure and while she did not have an exciting purpose she knew what each day would bring. Now there was uncertinty.
" Oh I dont know what I will do. My world had consisted of this small cottage for what seems forever. Now everything is changing what is up is once down. Funny how things change in a blink if an eye." Addy said with a slight frown.
" Ah but with change how can one move forward? My goodness are you always this meek? What is the point of living if one is always consumed by fear?"
Upon hearing the voice behind her Adalaine dropped her porclin plate which shattered to the ground. He was back. Demitrious was back her phantom prince. Though instead of feeling fear she felt anger. With her lips curved in an angry grimice she stormed out of the kitchen and into her sleeping chamber and closed the door.
There Demetrious greeted her with an amused smile.
" Who do you think you are? I am helping you and you insult me. You know nothing. I have been hated because of a gift I never asked for. I am not meek I am careful. Though I will be damn sure to be treated with respect. You are a Prince no longer and I will not be treated as a servent." Said Adalaine to Demetrious.
" Well it seems as though the kitten has some bite after all.", said the phantom Prince.
In truth Demetrious did know the heartache she had suffered. Since she was a little girl Demetrious was with her. He had seen her grow from an awkward child to a beautiful woman. After her run in with the Phantom Pirate he had made sure that no other Phantoms would bother her. Only when he was sure that she was strong enough did he let himself be seen.
With an annoyed sigh Addy sat on a chair. " So tell me what you found out."
