Tian got up, walked up to Sîrfalas and retrieved Hiiaka's mug from her haffon, then went to galic and retrieved his mug. He then went to fill the mugs with water. He placed the mug in Hiiaka's hands and sat down across the fire from her. Tian watched her as she drink her water, "It's the least I can do, you caught and cooked dinner tonight." he said and took a sip from his own mug.
Tian took the skewer of meat and began to eat. The meal was filling to say the least. with a mouthful of food and truely guy-like fashon Tian replied, "Great!" Tian enjoyed the comfortable silence that they shared from time-to-time. When Tian was done with his dinner he threw the left-overs to the wolf as Hiiaka had done.
He watched Hiiaka takeing care of her horse, and before she turned around, Tian acted like he wasn't watching her at all. He pretended like he was stretching his back. He sat up and watched as she untied her boots. When she announces that she is going to the waters edge, he stands up and grabs her wrist gently hopefully making her turn around.... he says "You shouldn't go down there at night....by yourself!"

Hiiaka swings herself around fast, ripping her hand from his, "I'm not going there by myself!" She says and gestures to the wolf whom wedged himself between Hiiaka and Tian. "And PLEASE don't grab me again, you of all people know I HATE when anyone grabs me!" She is trying so hard not to show anger toward Tian, she knows the wolf will pick up on it.
She turned around and walked slowly to the river. Orophin hesitated for a moment after Hiiaka left, to see if Tian would make any advances in her direction. Hiiaka returned breifly to retrieve her soap. After getting herself cleaned she proceeded to give Orophin a bath. When they returned both seemed to be in better spirits.
Hiiaka grabbed her brush and began to use it in her hair. Her gaze locked on the fire. "You know I am a woman now Tian..,." She said sweetly to Tian, her gaze still fixed on the dancing flames. "You don't have to 'protect' me any more, I am totally capable of protecting myself!" She felt frustrated because she knew that he was never going to recignize this.

The guilt weighed heavily on Tian and as Hiiaka spoke to him. He knew that she was a woman...and a beautiful one at that...but her words were still hard for him to swallow. He said not a word, He watched her watching the flames, they danced suductivly in her eyes.
It was early morning when Tain woke up, he got up quietly and walked down to the waters edge. He swam for a few moments in nothing but his birthday suit, redressed into his old clothes feeling refreshed and less groggy. He looked for Galic who was upstream kwenching his morning thirst.
He had a conversation with his horse, then hugged him tightly around the neck. He then took the haffon off the horses' back, and used his stiff bristled horse bush to remove the dirt and burrdocks from the horses mane and tail. replacing the haffon.
Tian then put away the brush and began to walk back to thier camp. When he reached camp he sat back in the spot where he slept, watching the smoke twirling in the breeze before fetching some water and putting it out.

Hiiaka had been up most the night, the reality of the day's events still sinking in. Occasionally breaking her gaze to reposition and then returning to her thoughts. She didn't know when she actually dozed off, but by the time she woke Tian was gone. She reached down into her lap and feeling Orophins head resting peacefully, Hiiaka got comfortable and went back to sleep.
When the sunlight finally woke Hiiaka up Tian was sitting across from her again. His hair was still wet and he hadn't yet noticed that she was awake. She must have dozed off again because the next time she looked Tian was gone again. When he returned with the water Hiiak was sitting up hugging her knees.
Shelooked up, smiled softly at him, and still in a some what dreamy state whispered "Morning!" She was really groggy, you could tel she was trying to wake up, but her body was fighting even the thought of doing so.
Finally, after what seemed like an eturnity, she gathers every fiber of strength and gets up. She reached in her haffon and pulls her brush out and quickly brushes her hair through. She is very careful where her beads and feathers are so not to damage them. then she takes a blue leather thong, that she had tied around her left wrist, and ties her hair back so it is out of the way for the moment.
She grabs her wineskin and heads down to the river. the water was shallow, but quick. She almost falls when her foot slides, but she catches herself just in time. She fills the wineskin in the current, making sure she has a secure grip on it, then proceeds to drink her fill and refills the wineskin again.

When Tian came back and saw Hiiaka sitting up he was surprised that she was talking to him, usually he'd get the silent treatment for at least a half of an hour. He smiled and nodded at her and then dumped the water on the smoldering embers. "You didn't get too much sleep last night, aye!? He knew the answer to his question there was little doubt that she had more then three or four hours most, he thought she looked like she was dragged behind a wild Apertaine horse.
Tian wanted to help Hiiaka up, but he decided against it. He knew she wasn't too happy with him at the moment. He followed suit when she began gathering his belongings, and he watched helplessly as she began to slip fearing that she would get hurt. He was relieved when she regained her balance.
After returning from filling her wineskin, Tian filled his wineskin. There is no doubt that he made the right choice, leaving the clan, but the only thing he disliked was that they were headed to Meridian. He didn't know what to expect there, he had heard that the place was crazy. So much going on at once , that it was riddled with cut-throats and thieves. He would follow her anywhere if it meant that he could be with her.
He was quiet while he was readying himself for the days' ride. Lost in thought as Hiiaka was last night. He came to thinking more about her words. She was right when she accused him of being over-protective. He could never let her hurt again. He knew deep down that he would tell her about the feelings he is developing for her, but he wasn't quite sure just how or when to do it. All he knew for sure was that right now was not the right time for either one of them.
Tian mounted Galic and waited for Hiiaka to lead the way, following closely behind her...

When Tian asked if she'd gotten much sleep, Hiiaka shook her head and softly said "No, not really!" She was half expecting him to lecture her about it, but when he didn't say a word she kinda figured he knew that she had alot on her mind, and it wasn't like her could STOP from getting distracted by it. It was alot to proccess after all....wasn't it?! Hiiaka had been ready by the time Tian had mounted Galic. Orophin also had already been flanking Sîrfalas. She couldn't wait to get to Meridian, because on a journey like this you have nothing better to do but think about everything and nothing. She was quiet, but she kind of felt uneasy due to the fact that Tian was quiet himself. She kinda hoped that he would break the silence between them, she didn't care exactly what they talked about as long as he could keep herself out of her mind. Hiiaka took a deep breath and cued the horse to head to the river. She crossed slowly, proceeding with caution as the horse began to cross it. There was no room for error and she knew this, the horse could get seriously hurt if she slipped as Hiiaka did earlier. 'Ardenbau, here we come!' she thought as she ascended the steep embakment on the other side. She paused the horse for a moment to make sure Orophin, Tian and Galic were behind her and it was only then that she put the horse into a canter. The trees were thinning, there were longer and longer periods of pure sunlight until she reached the last little cluster of trees. OCC:And the story continues in the thread... Circus Spectacular
