"Actually, it's a little more complicated than that." Aeryn took to staring at the floor for a moment, scratching the back of his head. "He wanted your tattoo, actually. Told me to cut the skin off your back and I could just fold it up and put it in my pocket or something. Now that I think about it, he was a pretty grim guy..." The youth tapped his chin idly, apparently in thought. "I asked him how he'd know it was yours, and he just told me that the Scorpions were so secretive and well hidden that there wouldn't be any way to find another one. That, and any other one I could find would probably be even harder to kill. So if there's a way we can fake that, which I don't think there is, then we're in the clear, I guess."
His expression was pretty helpless. There was no feasible way to do this with the exception of finding some drunk, convincing him to get a tattoo like Kiri's, and then flaying the poor bastard. Hell, that was barely feasible in itself. He looked at her curiously with his one blue eye, shrugging.

..there wouldn't be any way to find another one..
Kirithis felt her heart skip a beat, and a sudden coldness nestled into the pit of her stomach. She swallowed once, twice, but the lump that formed in her throat refused to go away. She licked her lips nervously, and then looked up to meet Aeryn's one blue eye. "I know a way.." she said. "It wouldn't be fake, but it wouldn't be mine.." She took a deep breath and then stood, facing away from him and unravelling the bandages around her chest, revealing to him the full size of the Scorpion Master's tattoo..
"This tattoo is the mark of a Master among the Scorpion ranks," she said grimly. "There are only a handful of them in the entire clan. As you can see, I am one, and.." she paused, taking another breath as she ran a hand through her hair. "..so was my brother."

Normally he'd be more concerned about how much skin she was showing than anything else, but there was an important matter at hand, so he withheld any snarky comments that he might have made. He'd thought about Kiri's brother, but didn't even bother to mention it because he didn't think she could consent to such a thing. She went through so much trouble to get his body back, so she obviously cared about him, but would she be willing to do that?
"I know what you're thinking... or, at least, I think I do. That's quite an undertaking, though. Hell, I doubt I could even do that. You could just kill me and move on. It'd take them a while to catch up with you..." Of course, he didn't actually want that, but the thought of what she might be suggesting made him feel a little sick.

Under normal circumstances, she never would have proposed such an idea. What were their options? She had to think this out, think out every possible angle.. She didn't intend to kill anyone but the man who apparently wanted her dead. Kill him, and the assassination attempts would ebb for a little while.
Okay, she could run, and risk Aeryn being killed for failing. Not good. She could kill Aeryn, but that was also not good. She could let Aeryn carve the flesh from her back, and hope that if they cauterized it fast enough, she might not die. ...Nope, not good. They could kill a drunkard, tattoo his back, and carve that up, but that entailed killing some innocent party. Not good. They could take the tattoo from Ain's back and pray to every god in existance that he wouldn't come back to haunt her..
"I don't want to kill anyone that doesn't need to die," Kirithis answered, sitting upon the bed once again. She didn't care about her half-nudity; there were other things to worry about, and they involved her brother. "I haven't contacted the clan yet.. When I do, they'll cremate him so that no necromancers can ever touch him.. If I tell them that his tattoo was removed to protect his anonymity, they'll go for it. Ain himself told me that he'd do anything to see me survive.. I don't think he was thinking about this.. but.."
She held her stomach weakly. "I think I'm going to throw up.."

Unfortunately, Aeryn couldn't really care about her half nudity at the moment either, as much as he'd like to. Kiri looked like she was getting pretty worked over this, and he completely understood that. He didn't really have time to ask if there was anything he could do, though, before she mentioned that she was going to be sick. He got to his feet quickly and started heading for the stairs. "No, you'll be alright, just take a deep breath, yeah? I'll get you some water. Just hang in there."
He didn't want to see her sick, and to be honest, didn't really want to deal with cleaning it up either. Alicia followed him down the steps, having been awaken during their conversation but remaining mostly still, not too concerned with matters of life and death. A moment later he returned with a cool glass, holding it out to her and sitting on the edge of the bed. "Come on. Deep breaths."

Kirithis had her head between her knees when he returned, breathing deeplyand trying to calm herself. Any other Scorpion in her position would have been able to handle this decision without even blinking, and here she was, about to vomit because of it! She took the glass without hesitation, taking a drink from it and then doing as he said, taking deep breaths, subsequently puffing our her chest with each one.
When she felt better, she offered him a small nod. "Thank you," she said, brushing her hair behind her ear, not caring anymore if he saw or not. She was quiet for a moment, thinking things through. This insane plan could work.. She did not advertise her tattoo; the man could not know exactly how big it was.. Ain was only a little smaller than her, her body supple and beautiful in an artistic way rather than a 'huge breasts and arse' sort of way.. And Ain had only been dead long enough for rigor mortis to come and go.. It could work..
"I want to try it," she said firmly. "It'll decrease the chances of anything else trying to steal his body until I contact my clan, and it'll be useful to this plan as well. We'll take it, you'll take it back to Mr. Money-Bags, claim the rest of the money, I'll kill him, and we'll rob the place if the need strikes us. Sound fair?" Crimson eyes flickered up to Aeryn's face, asking his approval, yet not willing to accept 'no' for an answer. Variations, yes, but not no.

"Alright, we can try it. I just hope you know what you're doing, going after this guy. We could just walk out with the money and be good for at least a few months before someone spots you again." For some reason, he could just see it going badly, somehow figuring out that they were trying to con them, a legion of hired thugs wiping them out. It wasn't a pleasant thought. He furrowed his brow and tried not to stare at her chest, though it was pretty hard when he was sitting this close to her.
"It's your call, though. Your brother, after all, so you can pretty much demand this to go whichever way you want it to."

Kirithis nodded. "I want to try it," she said. "But I don't want to half-ass it. If this man sent you after me, then he means business, especially at that price. He'll try again, and even if he doesn't, he might try to kill you, just to wash his hands of the whole affair, and, honestly, I don't feel like being the cause of your death."
She looked up at him again, serious in her words, sincere. She kind of liked Aeryn.. Wait.. She smiled, eyes half-lidding coyly. "I'll tell you my real name if you tell me yours.. Unless you already know mine," she said. Getting this far, he probably already knew it. She wondered if he'd been honest or not with her.. Most assassins weren't, but there were some who were, having nothing to really lose by it.

"That's very touching... thanks." It was always nice to hear that someone didn't want to be responsible for you dying, even when their plans involved putting you in direct danger. He'd kind of asked for this himself, though, taking the job in the first place. He knew that for all that Ka, it was too good to be true.
"It's Aeryn. That's the one my parents gave me when I was born here, and I've always kind of liked it, so I use it here in town. I've got a different name everywhere else, though. Like I said, you're kind of special in a way. Apparently I thought you were a big enough catch to try to take you out here in Blaire, the one place where I'm not an assassin, and even let you in my home and gave you my real name. Guess I got greedy... or I was just tired of using aliases and being alone and just wanted real company for once." He shrugged one shoulder, looking her in the eyes, since that was his only real option. Otherwise he'd have to stare at the wall, which would be weird when you're trying to have a conversation with someone, or at her breasts, which would be incredibly inappropriate.
"Out of curiosity, do you plan on getting dressed?"

It wasn't everyday you're told that you're special because you're a big enough catch. While Kirithis had been told that she was special among those others of her class, she had always been annoyed by it. The way Aeryn said it, while it shouldn't have been a compliment, made her smile. And then her smile turned mischievous at his last question, and she lay back, teasingly seductive.
"Why? Does it bother you having a half-naked woman in your bed?" she asked, teasing him quite openly now. Personally, she could care less about being half naked.. She didn't think he would act on it. Part of her sort of wished he would, though.. The last time she'd ever been with someone in such a way had been to kill him, and that had been a while ago. The rational part of her knew it unwise to tempt him in such a way, but had decided that she'd stop teasing him after another minute or so.
